Our Robot Coders curriculum is the ultimate combination of hands-on building, creativity, and block coding! Students will work in small groups to build robots, learning how to integrate programming components like sensors and servos as they build and how to control their robots using block code programming. Each week will feature brand-new projects. No previous building or coding experience is required.

A low student-to-teacher ratio will allow for plenty of individualized instruction and attention. Our experienced instructors are passionate about inspiring young minds, fostering creativity, championing kindness, and celebrating some goofiness throughout it all!

Instructors will greet students at the VCS entrance and escort them to the classroom. Pickup will happen at the same spot.
Students must bring a nut-free lunch, snack, and water. We will make use of the VCS play area for “recess”.

Please note our change and cancelation policies, as well as late pickup fees, in the Gowanus section on this page.

Fill In Student Information

For every other grade, there is only one amazing option, so your child will be assigned. For 5th graders you can pick either Robot Builders or Robot Coders. In Builders your child will build and take home a project (non programmable) every day. Robot Coders will be working in groups of 2 -3 kids, build really cool robots and then code them using a tablet. The projects are totally awesome but since they are group projects, the kids will only be able to take home 1-2 projects (non programmable) each week. We will record videos of their cool coding projects though as awesome digital memories.

If your child requires any special accommodations, please place them here.

If you have any suggestions on how our teachers can work better with your child, please let us know here.

If your child has any friends that you would like them to be placed with, please add their names here

Does your child require an Epi Pen or inhaler? If so, you MUST bring it on the day of the session.

Does your child have any allergies? If so, please list them here

Please list the names and numbers of people approved to pick up your child

Does your child have an individual in their life that has a restraining order or similar order of no contact? If so, please provide additional information on that person.
