Workshop Assistant

Are you good at making things? Are you self-directed and detail-oriented? Do you have an eye for aesthetics and enjoy a dynamic studio environment? Join the Brooklyn Robot Foundry production team!

 

Requirements

  •  You must be computer savvy and friendly.
  • Experience working with your hands—We’re looking for makers. Some examples: Woodworking, sculpture, art, set construction.
  • Experience using our most-used tools: drill press, glue gun, wire stripper, box cutter, screwdriver, heat gun, hammer.
  • Familiarity with our occasionally-used tools: soldering iron, mitre saw, jigsaw, CNC router.
  • You are detail-oriented, organized, and love solving problems.
  • You can work in a precise, patient manner on a deadline.
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and love to work collaboratively.
  • Must be able to pass a CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Must be able to lift 35 pounds.
  • You must be reliable and responsible.

Location Details

You will be working at our Gowanus, Brooklyn production facility, located near Whole Foods.

Schedule

This is a part-time position. 20-25 hours over 3 days per week. A Monday – Wednesday schedule is preferred but days can be negotiated.
