Field Trip

In-Person Class

Our field trips are offered at our Gowanus location and are 1.5 hours long.

We offer different projects, which is dependent on grade. You can view the different projects here.

 

Payment Schedule

$60 deposit is due at booking.
The full balance, based on the final participant count for each class, will be due on or before the day of the class.

Direct payments may be made in cash, by check (payable to Brooklyn Robot Foundry), or on credit card. Please let us know how you intend to pay on the next step:

●If paying via DOE, we will need a copy of the purchase order in replacement of the
deposit to secure the date. We will need a hard copy of the PO and the student roster
on the day of the trip to properly invoice the DOE. You will also be able to upload this on the next step.
●If paying via Donors Choose, we still require the initial deposit (see above) to reserve
the date. The deposit may be applied towards the final payment, or refunded to the
original payee after the field trip is concluded. We will need documentation from
Donors Choose of successful funding prior to trip date.
●We will not be able to offer refunds for no-shows or other absences for any advance
payments.
●All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Terms and Conditions

If you need to cancel your field trip(s):
●You will receive a full refund of your deposit if cancellation is received at least 14 days
prior to the date of the first field trip.
●Within 14 days, the deposit is forfeited.

If you would like to reschedule your field trip(s) to another day, we can accommodate the request, doing the same project, as follows:

●If the change request is made any time up to 14 days before the scheduled date, there is no charge.
●If the change request is made within 14 days before the scheduled date, and up to 4
days before the scheduled date, a $25 alteration fee will be charged.
●If the change request is made within 4 days of the scheduled date, or if there is
another reason (such as unexpected school closure, snow day, or another reason) the
school cannot attend, a $25 alteration fee will be charged and the deposit for the field
trip will be forfeited. The deposit will be forfeited to offset the cost of compensating
our teachers, whose shifts cannot be rescheduled by us under New York City’s Fair
Workweek Law.
