Welcome

Welcome to Brooklyn Robot Foundry – Collin County!

Serving all areas in and around Collin County

Brooklyn Robot Foundry is a mobile business which means we bring the robots to you, wherever you are.  We have some great community partners who allow us to host classes in their spaces too.  We’re always building robots somewhere!

Nice to meet you!

Photo of Lucy & Jonny, Brooklyn Robot Foundry Collin County franchise ownersMy name is Lucy, and I was born and raised in Plano. My husband, Jonny, and I own/operate the Collin County chapter of Brooklyn Robot Foundry.

I’ve always been a math and science kid, and I studied chemical engineering at UT Austin and went on to work in Big Tech. I’ve always been passionate about getting kids excited about STEM, and I loved my past lives of tutoring, teaching in classrooms, and mentoring students. After years of working corporate, we were ready to do something more purposeful.

This passion (and our own joy when building robots) drove us to open this branch of Brooklyn Robot Foundry. I especially love the way our robot-building programs enrich kids’ STEM education in a way that’s screen-free, hands-on, creative, and FUN! We are so proud to be nurturing the next generation of thinkers, builders, creators, and more, right here in Collin County!

Needs Based Scholarships

From time to time, we are able to offer need-based scholarships for our programs. The spots are awarded on a first come, first served basis.  These scholarships cover the entire program fee. Participants will be required to pay for only materials and extended stay (when applicable). We don’t do any sort of verification of your need… we trust that if you pay a reduced price it is because that is what your budget can afford.

Interested? Just fill out this form, and we’ll make sure you’re the first to know when scholarships become available!
