Welcome to Brooklyn Robot Foundry
Lower Westchester

Let’s build!

A little about me  A photo head shot of owner, Kim Haden with a teal background

My name is Kim Haden.  I grew up in Larchmont and returned with my family in 2020.

My first experience with Brooklyn Robot Foundry was as the parent of a child who loved to build. When we lived in Brooklyn, he spent many happy afternoons and school holidays tinkering and creating in the Foundry’s classroom. Having the chance to bring this program to Westchester has been incredibly exciting for me.

So many of the values we care about at Brooklyn Robot Foundry feel especially important right now. Our classes are completely screen-free and fully hands-on, with creative freedom built into every project. Kids are encouraged to experiment, problem-solve, and embrace the design process as they build.  We believe that trying, tinkering, and even a few setbacks along the way are all part of the fun, and how real learning happens.

Needs based scholarships

From time to time, we are able to offer need-based scholarships for our programs. The spots are awarded on a first come,
first served basis.
These scholarships cover the entire program fee. Participants will be required to pay for only materials
and extended stay (when applicable).
We don’t do any sort of verification of your need… we trust that if you pay a
reduced price it is because that is what your budget can afford.

Interested? Just fill out THIS FORM, and we’ll make sure you’re the first to know when scholarships become available!
