WHAT’S INCLUDED:
Individually-packed robot kits for each student & decorations, brought by the Brooklyn Robot Foundry teacher(s).
ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
Brooklyn Robot Foundry is the sole provider of these programs. Building instructions are not to be shared, and your employees may not build the projects with children outside of our scheduled classes.
Students will be using tools (screwdrivers) and handling materials such as screws that may result in minor accidents, such as cuts or scrapes. Your organization understands/accepts the liability of its students using these tools, and Brooklyn Robot Foundry will not be responsible for these accidents.
REQUIREMENTS:
Your organization will provide:
- Classroom with enough desk or table space for each participant to work comfortably
- One additional counter or table for supplies
We reserve the right to use still images and video from the program for marketing or training use, unless we receive written notification from any participants stating otherwise. We will not publish the names of students, but may reference the school/camp/organization.
CONTRACT & PAYMENT SCHEDULE:
- A deposit is required to book the session. On the day of the session, your organization must pay the balance.
CANCELLATION TERMS:
Your organization will have until a month before the start of the session to cancel the classes in writing (email). If canceled prior to the date, the deposit will be refunded less the cost of materials and labor for the first class. If your organization cancels after that date, the deposit and any fees collected will not be refunded.
In the event that your organization is closed for weather or public health reasons, you will not be given any refunds. We will postpone completion of the program to a future date or find a similarly mutually-suitable arrangement, such as online classes.
There will be no refunds, reductions in price, or makeup classes for students who register but miss a class. We will not be able to provide a video recording of the class or building instructions.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY:
I understand that any project I or my students make, see, or have / has explained to me / my students by the teachers at The Foundry is based on work product and intellectual property owned and developed by Brooklyn Robot Foundry IP LLC over many years.
Moreover, I understand that the materials, including but not limited to handouts and images, provided in connection with any project or course at The Foundry and its affiliates, whether provided or displayed in digital or physical copy, are subject to copyright protection and are not to be copied without authorization.
I acknowledge and agree that The Foundry and its affiliates has a legitimate business interest in the protection of the techniques, methods, and projects disclosed to me in the classes or other programs at The Foundry.
I understand, acknowledge, and agree that I am prohibited from using or disclosing any of these techniques, methods, or projects for monetary gain without Brooklyn Robot Foundry IP LLC’s express prior written consent. I understand, acknowledge, and agree that the course and project materials provided by The Foundry are the copyright of Brooklyn Robot Foundry IP LLC and that I may not copy, reproduce, distribute, perform, or display such works, or create derivative works from said works, without Brooklyn Robot Foundry IP LLC’s express prior written consent.
AGREEMENT:
On behalf of my organization, I hereby agree to proceed with the Botmakers LLC, an independently owned and operated Franchise of the Brooklyn Robot Foundry operating under the trade name Brooklyn Robot Foundry Lower Hudson Valley (hereinafter “The Foundry” or “Brooklyn Robot Foundry”), residency program outlined above, as well as to the associated terms and conditions listed above.
