All you need is your paper and straw to create a cute caterpillar that inches along like this…

*Drawing will be held on December 1, 2024. Workshop will be for a class of up to 30 students. School must be within a 1.5 hour drive of Brooklyn.
Now on to the caterpillar fun…
Directions for Paper Caterpillar
1. Cut along dotted lines.
2. Fold along the solid lines to create this shape (all the folds go the same way except the ones on the ends):
3. Decorate your caterpillar however you like
4. Use the straw to blow on the back of your caterpillar (at the X) to make it inch along. It’s best to blow down from above.
Note: If your surface is too slippery, the caterpillar may have trouble moving. A surface with a little friction, like a wood floor, works best.
5. Hold a caterpillar race or direct your caterpillar through a maze taped on the floor!
