17 Movies for Kids that Subtly Incorporate STEAM

We are all about fun here. Usually, it’s the hands-on, building-type fun that we engage in, but sometimes we’re ready to couch-up for a good old movie night! That doesn’t mean we need to leave all of the STEAM-goodness behind, however. Here are 17 movies that incorporate different STEAM topics and are sure to entertain your group.

“Wall-E” – An animated film about a small waste-collecting robot left on Earth, showcasing environmental themes and robotics.

“Finding Nemo” – An animated adventure film that introduces marine biology concepts while following the journey of a clownfish searching for his son.

“The Magic School Bus” – While not a movie, this animated series takes kids on educational adventures exploring various scientific concepts in a fun and engaging way. (Original series & Revival)

“Ratatouille” – An animated film that introduces elements of physics and engineering as a rat pursues his dream of becoming a chef in a French restaurant.
