WHAT’S INCLUDED:
MATERIALS:
- Individually-packed robot kits for each student (other than Coders, see below)
- If the curriculum is Robot Coders, the kits will be shared across multiple students
- Decorations for each project
DELIVERY:
- Teacher will bring all the building materials.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
Brooklyn Robot Foundry Manhattan Downtown is the sole provider of these programs. Building instructions are not to be shared and your employees may not build the projects with students outside of our scheduled classes. Students who miss a class will not be provided with that robot kit.
Students will be using tools (screwdrivers) and handling materials such as screws that may result in minor accidents such as cuts or scrapes. Your organization understands/accepts the liability of their students using these tools and Brooklyn Robot Foundry Manhattan Downtown will not be responsible for these accidents.
REQUIREMENTS
Your organization will provide:
- Classroom with enough desk or table space for each participant to work comfortably
- One additional counter or table for supplies
We reserve the right to use still images and video from the program for marketing or training use, unless we receive written notification from any participants stating otherwise. We will not publish the names of students, but may reference the school/camp/organization.
SCHOOL’S ASSISTANT REQUIREMENT
If [School] will be providing its own Assistant, it is very important that our recommended student-to-teacher ratio as contracted is followed and met. The difficulty of the classes increases when the right ratios are not maintained, and we want to ensure all students receive the assistance and attention they need. No student should be left behind!
Assistant Skills Required:
- Must be able to assist multiple students with their builds in a short amount of time
- Must have patience with first-time learners
- Must be comfortable using and assisting students with tools and materials such as screwdrivers, tapes, hot glue guns, putting in and taking out batteries from battery packs
CONTRACT & PAYMENT SCHEDULE:
- A deposit is required to book the session. On the day of the session, your organization must pay the balance.
CANCELLATION TERMS
Unless otherwise discussed and agreed on in writing, your organization will have until a month before the start of the session to cancel the class in writing (email). If canceled prior to the date, the deposit will be refunded less the cost of materials and labor for the first class. If your organization cancels after that date, the deposit and any fees collected will not be refunded.
In the event that your organization is closed for weather or public health reasons, you will not be given any refunds. We will postpone completion of the program to a future date, or find a similarly mutually-suitable arrangement, such as online classes.
There will be no refunds, reductions in price, or makeup classes, for students who register but miss a class. We will not be able to provide a video recording of the class or building instructions.
